Terms and conditions
The basis on which you may use Logical Planning — Land Promotion, our reports, subscriptions and land promotion services.
Last updated 2026. By creating an account, running a site search or buying a report you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Logical Planning provides planning intelligence: site searches, constraint checks, appraisal scores, Local Plan and Local Plan Watch information, case law and appeal summaries, and downloadable reports. The service is an information and analysis tool. It is not legal advice, not a planning consultancy appointment and not a guarantee of any planning outcome.
Signed-out visitors get one free location search. Signing up gives one free appraisal, after which paid subscriptions or per-site products apply.
Accounts
You must give accurate details, keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for named individuals; sharing logins, scraping the service, reselling outputs without permission or attempting to bypass free-search limits or access controls may lead to suspension.
Subscriptions, fees and cancellation
Subscription tiers are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Per-site products (Site Check and Detailed Report) are one-off purchases delivered digitally. Prices shown on the pricing page apply at the time of purchase and may change for future periods with notice.
Because reports are digital and produced on demand, once a report has been generated the statutory cancellation right for digital content no longer applies. If a report fails to generate or is materially incomplete, contact us and we will re-run or refund it.
Land promotion
Full land promotion is a separate service offered to selected landowners on a success-fee basis (typically 10–15% of uplift), with no upfront cost. Any promotion engagement is governed by a separate written agreement; nothing on this site or in a report creates a promotion agreement, option or obligation to promote a site.
Data, accuracy and reports
Planning, environmental and appeal data is retrieved from public sources including planning.data.gov.uk, GOV.UK, the National Archives Find Case Law service and OpenStreetMap, and is used under the Open Government Licence or the relevant source licence. Where a source cannot be reached we show the data as unavailable rather than as an absence of constraint.
Scores, capacity estimates and success likelihoods are indicative modelled outputs based on published data and stated assumptions. They must not be relied on as a substitute for site-specific professional advice, survey work or a pre-application enquiry with the local planning authority.
Intellectual property and your content
We own the platform, methodology, scoring models and report templates. You get a non-exclusive right to use reports you have paid for within your own business, including sharing them with your professional advisers and funders. You keep ownership of site boundaries and information you upload, and grant us permission to process it to deliver the service.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that third-party data is complete or current. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity or land value, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Changes, suspension and governing law
We may update these terms, features and pricing; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
